The Lutheran Medical Center residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology provides a balanced academic experience that significantly values women's health and the continuity of care. Through the department's affiliation with SUNY Downstate Medical Center at Brooklyn, our residents take advantage of the additional faculty resources at this university medical center.
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department provides the residents with a broad range of operative and non-operative experiences including:

- diagnosis and management of breast diseases
|
- high-risk obstetrics (maternal-fetal medicine)
|
|
|
|
- reproductive endocrinology and infertility
|
- all aspects of gynecologic care related to women's health
|
|
|
|
- adolescent ambulatory gynecology
|
- minor and major abdominal and vaginal operative procedures
|
|
- diagnostic and operative laparoscopy including laparoscopic-assisted vaginal hysterectomy
|
|
