Anthony P. Geraci, M.D., brings over 25 years of experience to his new roles as vice chairman of the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation, and director of the Neuromuscular Division at NYU Lutheran Medical Center. Dr. Geraci has previously served in a number of positions at Lutheran, including attending neurologist, co-director of the Lutheran Stroke Center and director of the Lutheran Headache Center. He has practiced at many of New York’s leading medical institutions including Mount Sinai Hospital, Beth Israel Hospital, St. Vincent’s Hospital and NYU Langone Medical Center, among others.
Dr. Geraci received his doctor of medicine from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and went on to complete his postdoctoral training at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is a member of numerous professional societies including the American Academy of Neurology and the International Headache Society. Dr. Geraci is a fellow of the American Academy of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is board certified in neurology, headache and electrodiagnostic medicine.
Throughout his career, Dr. Geraci has held numerous teaching roles in the field of neurology, consulted with pharmaceutical companies, published a number of peer reviewed articles and abstracts, served as a media expert and spoken at several lectures and symposiums. He was consistently rated a Best Doctor in America by U.S. News and World Report from 2004 through 2013.
Dr. Geraci most recently served as the founder and medical director of neurOasis Headache and Neurology Center in Manhattan.
