Health fair to follow educational presentation

Dr. Salman Azhar, chair of NYU Lutheran Medical Center's Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine Department will be the featured speaker this Sunday at the New Hope Lutheran Church (167-24 118th Avenue, Jamaica, NY 11434), as part of the Health Sunday Speaker Series. The informative presentation, which is open to the public, will address how Lutheran is pioneering advanced stroke treatments and giving patients a new lease on life. The session will offer insights from a top physician on risk factors of stroke, how to recognize when someone has a stroke, and the latest advancements in treatment.
Dr. Azhar's presentation will take place at the conclusion of the 10 a.m. service (approximately 11:30 a.m.). NYU Lutheran Medical Center's interdisciplinary Stroke Center, led by Salman Azhar, M.D., is aggressively identifying, targeting and providing stroke treatment and stroke rehabilitation services.
