Launch event scheduled for December 19 featuring a special performance by Brian Broccoli, Colby Carrot, Erica Eggplant and their friends!
Lutheran has partnered with Super Sprowtz in a fun, new patient engagement initiative. The program, which is aimed at educating Lutheran's pediatric population and their families about healthy eating and healthy living, will be hosted at NYU Lutheran Medical Center's Emergency Department pediatric waiting area and the NYU Lutheran Sunset Park Family Health Center for Women and Children.
Generously funded by corporate sponsor, Riva Precision Manufacturing, this unique and highly interactive program engages children and families in waiting rooms using a fun, age appropriate curriculum that features an exciting multimedia approach including books and puppets that tell the story of vegetable superheroes that include Brian Broccoli, Colby Carrot, Erica Eggplant and more. While Super Sprowtz is in schools and even featured at the White House, Lutheran is the first health care organization to participate.
The launch event will kick-off with a short speaking program featuring representatives from NYU Lutheran and Super Sprowtz. Following the speaking program, the audience, which will also include 40 to 50 students from PS 503/506, will be treated to a special performance by the Super Sprowtz.
