July 6, 2012, Brooklyn, NY…Irina
Katayeva, M.D., and Daniel Puebla Neira, M.D., in conjunction with
researchers from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, have published a study
in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, indicating that
proximity to a heavily trafficked highway correlates with the presence
of asthma in adults. The results suggest that vehicle emissions may
increase the risk for developing inflammatory lung disease in adults.
