Anil Hingorani, M.D., who joined Lutheran’s Vascular Institute in June 2012, has been named Associate Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. Dr. Hingorani is board certified in both general and vascular surgery and is an assistant professor at Mount Sinai Medical Center and SUNY Downstate Brooklyn. He earned his medical degree from the Albany Medical College, did his surgical residency at St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital Center and successfully completed an ACGME vascular residency under Dr. Enrico Ascher.
Dr. Hingorani’s interests include the management of arterial, venous, aneurysmal, carotid and chronic kidney disease and he has authored and co-authored hundreds of peer reviewed scientific vascular articles published in major medical journals. He is the recipient of numerous industry awards, as well as a member of several professional societies, including the Society for Vascular surgery where he has served in many capacities. Dr. Hingorani is widely recognized as a great clinician, excellent mentor for medical students and residents and a superb surgeon.
