Norma Villanueva, M.D., M.P.H.
Norma Villanueva, M.D, M.P.H., serves as the network chief of Child and Adolescent Medicine for the NYU Lutheran Family Health Centers network and is board certified in pediatrics. Prior to joining NYU Lutheran Medical Center in 2007, Dr. Villanueva completed a pediatric residency program at Montefiore Medical Center, a fellowship in public health with the National Hispanic Medical Association and the New York University Wagner School of Public Health. She received her medical degree from Yeshiva University, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a master of public health from the Harvard School of Public Health.
Dr. Villanueva was the driving force behind the implementation of our adolescent health services program, which provides adolescent care with complete physical exams, sports physicals, immunization and health education on important topics such as substance abuse, AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, physical development, social services and psychosocial counseling.
Dr. Villanueva is also the regional director for Medical Education with A.T. Still School of Osteopathic Medicine. Lutheran is a campus of A.T. Still School and has 30 students. These students are at Lutheran for three out of their four years of medical school and complete their medical education at NYU Lutheran Medical Center.
