Enrico Ascher, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Enrico Ascher, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a board-certified vascular surgeon who is recognized worldwide for his innumerous scientific contributions to vascular and endovascular surgery. Dr. Ascher has lectured extensively about innovative techniques to minimize the magnitude of vascular procedures and he is known as a superb surgeon and interventionist. Because of these contributions and his surgical abilities he has been recognized by his peers who elected him to the presidency of all important vascular societies including the Society for Vascular Surgery, the International Society for Vascular Surgery and the World Federation of Vascular Societies.
Dr. Ascher is the editor-in-chief of a well-known and popular classical textbook in vascular surgery currently in its 6th edition. He is a recognized authority in the management of carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral arterial blockages as well as vein diseases. Dr. Ascher is the founder and director of the Vascular Institute of New York and is a professor of surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
