RIBBON CUTTING AND RE-DEDICATION SET FOR SHORE HILL HOUSING
Celebrating the preservation of 558 units of affordable senior housing in Brooklyn
WHO/WHAT: Lutheran HealthCare will host a ribbon cutting to celebrate the successful preservation of 558 units of affordable senior housing at Lutheran HealthCare's Shore Hill complex. The ceremony will include 200 special guests including residents, state housing officers and elected officials.

Shore Hill recently underwent an 18-month, $16 million full-scale rehabilitation project that included building operating systems, fixtures, HVAC, electric, plumbing, concrete, doors, windows, landscaping and more. The rehabilitation project, which would not have been possible without the partners involved, not only helped to preserve senior housing units and repair an aging building, but it also helped to improve the quality of life for tenants.

Shore Hill Housing in Bay Ridge has been in operation since 1977 with 558 rent-subsidized units for the elderly and disabled. The complex includes a full-time manager, administrative staff, social service staff, resident director of maintenance, maintenance staff and 24-hour security.
