CONTESSA BREWER, MSNBC ANCHOR, TO SERVE AS MASTER OF CEREMONIES
Proceeds of black-tie affair to benefit ICU upgrade
WHO: Lutheran HealthCare, its Board of Trustees and its 128th anniversary sponsors will celebrate Lutheran's anniversary with a fun-filled Casino Royale black-tie awards ceremony. Honorees are: Anthony L. DiMango, D.D.S., chief, Dentistry and director, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, as the Physician Honoree, and Frenkel and Company as the Corporate Honoree. Wendy Z. Goldstein, president and CEO of Lutheran HealthCare, will also be honored for ten years of leadership. The event will be emceed by veteran television journalist and MSNBC anchor, Contessa Brewer. New York elected officials and Sopranos star Tony Sirico are set to attend.
WHAT: As Lutheran HealthCare's primary fundraiser, the event will help to raise critical funds to benefit an upgrade of the medical center's existing Intensive Care Unit in order to better meet the needs of patients. Last year's casino themed event was attended by more than 900 partygoers and raised over $1.2 million.
WHERE: New York Marriott Marquis, Times Square, 1535 Broadway 
WHEN: May 7, 2011. Reception, casino and silent auction start at 6:30 with dinner, awards and dancing starting at 7:30.
The Physician and Corporate Honorees will receive the Sister Elisabeth Fedde (Lutheran HealthCare founder, 1883) Medal of Service, established to recognize individuals who continue her legacy of service and commitment to serving the needs of our neighbors. Read more at http://on.fb.me/LHCGala.
