LUTHERAN HONORS ITS PARTNERS IN MEDICINE AND HEALTH CARE
Unique business partnership program welcomes local business leaders to the health care community
November 23, 2011, Brooklyn, NY
Lutheran HealthCare's "Partners in Medicine and Health Care" held its first celebratory reception on November 15 to welcome local business leaders to the health care community. The new program hopes to foster stronger ties with area businesses to increase health awareness and build financial support for Lutheran Medical Center and Lutheran Family Health Centers.
Over a dozen representatives from local businesses attended the reception hosted by Wendy Z. Goldstein, president and CEO, at Lutheran Medical Center. The reception was also attended by members of Lutheran's executive and medical staff and Board of Trustees.
LHC's Partners in Medicine and Health Care program began in December 2010 with recruitment of a representative Business Advisory Council of 13 members. The program grew into a Brooklyn-wide effort and currently boasts more than 45 member companies who support Lutheran's Annual Fund, receive member benefits such as a business partnership concierge service and wellness program, and are invited to a series of receptions and luncheons with Wendy Z. Goldstein, president and CEO.
Four different levels of membership are available for $250 to $2,500. These memberships offer local companies a rare opportunity to become an "insider" and play a real part in the advancement of the hospital's services and community outreach work.
