It's official, Lutheran HealthCare is set to kick-off a banner year with its first community donation towards its upcoming 125th Anniversary Dinner Dance. Robert T. Reilly, president and CEO of RTR Financial Services, Inc., a health care industry-leading provider of accounts receivable management services, presented Wendy Z. Goldstein, president and CEO, with a check for $10,000 on February 6.
"We are very grateful that we have community minded companies like RTR who know the value and importance of community-based health care," said Ms. Goldstein. "These funds will support our ongoing work and mission to provide our surrounding communities the high quality care and support programs that they deserve and need.
"We feel extraordinarily privileged to partner with an organization that has helped so many people – for more than 125 years – in Brooklyn," said Mr. Reilly. "We know this charitable donation will help provide much needed health and community services to those who need it the most and we are proud to support Lutheran's mission."
Lutheran will host its 125th Anniversary Dinner Dance at Pier 60, Chelsea Piers on May 10, 2008. As LHC's primary fundraiser, the event raises much-needed dollars to support health care services throughout Brooklyn and attracts a venerable who's who in New York including local elected officials, community leaders and the occasional Hollywood celebrity.
