HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS ACROSS LUTHERAN
December 23, 2011, Brooklyn, NY
Holiday celebrations have been seen everywhere across Lutheran over the past week! We lit the Lutheran Christmas tree on December 15, the menorah on December 21, and have had an array of celebrations throughout the week. In addition, Santa, as well as local community leaders and elected officials, have stopped by Lutheran to ensure that the patients and staff of Lutheran have a happy holiday!

| On December 21, Lutheran commemorated the Jewish festival of lights, Chanukah. Special prayers and the story of Chanukah were read, followed by holiday songs sung by the students of Lubavitch Yeshiva of Ocean Parkway. |
On December 15, Lutheran hosted its annual Christmas tree lighting, with the help of Santa and the children of P.S. 506. The school children provided festive entertainment with Christmas carols, while Santa passed out treats to children and staff. Senior staff members were called upon to help decorate the tree and once the final ornaments were in place, the tree was lit by Wendy Z. Goldstein, president and CEO. |
