March 8, 2012, Brooklyn, NY
Susan Cipparulo, a 27-year resident of Shore Hill Housing, celebrated her 100th birthday on March 2 in the company of her family and friends at Shore Hill. Mrs. Cipparulo was treated to cake, presents, cards and music, as well as a number of kind words from her
friends and family members.

Born in Brooklyn in 1912, Mrs. Cipparulo worked as a book binder for more than 20 years. On July 22, 1934 she married the late Dominico Cipparulo. Her supportive family consists of one son, a daughter in law, two grand sons (at right) and two great grand sons. A devout Catholic, Mrs. Cipparulo can often be found at Shore Hill reading the bible and giving fashion or romance advice to the staff, her "Shore Hill family."
