ASTHMA STUDY CONDUCTED BY LMC M.D.S PUBLISHED IN JOURNAL OF ALLERGY AND CLINICAL IMMUNOLOGY
July 6, 2012, Brooklyn, NY
Irina Katayeva, M.D., and Daniel Puebla Neira, M.D., in conjunction with researchers from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, have published a study in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, indicating that proximity to a heavily trafficked highway correlates with the presence of asthma in adults. The results suggest that vehicle emissions may increase the risk for developing inflammatory lung disease in adults.
