Lutheran Opens Comprehensive Memory Center
We are pleased to announce the opening of the Lutheran Memory Center, a comprehensive program for the evaluation of memory. The Memory Center is co-directed by Robert Greenberg, M.D., (top right) and Ross Gourvitz, Ph.D. (bottom right).
If you are concerned about memory problems that you or a family member are experiencing, the Memory Center can help with assessment and treatment. We have experts in geriatric psychiatry, neurology and neuropsychology.
The evaluation session may include one or two exams. A neuropsychological exam with paper-and-pencil tests will be done to assess attention, language, memory and other brain (cognitive) functions. The geropsychiatrist's and/or neurologist's exam will include a review of the patient's medical and family history, current stressors, and medical problems and medications related to memory function.
Two weeks later in a conference setting the patient will receive the test results along with recommendations for treatment options and additional resources available. The patient will also receive a written report with our findings to share with your other physicians.
