Seniors in Touch is a social adult day program in its 15th year of service to the elderly in the Bay Ridge and Sunset Park communities. Seniors in touch operates out of two sites – Shore Hill Housing on Wednesdays and Fridays and Harbor Hill Housing on Tuesdays and Thursdays from the hours of 9 a.m. –3 p.m.. The goal of the programs is to provide arts oriented activities to seniors who are frail and socially isolated. This program fosters independence and socialization. Lunch is provided by St. John's/Fort Hamilton Nutrition program and by the Sunset Park Senior Citizen Center. Transportation is provided by the program through the use of a handicapped-accessible paratransit vehicle. Nominal participant contribution is requested.

Bay Ridge on the Move is a fixed route transportation service for seniors. Sponsored by Lutheran Medical Center and participant contributions the program provides riders with easier access to neighborhood shopping, medical appointments, visits with family and friends, etc.

Service Coordination Program assists seniors in our affiliated housing sites to continue living independently. The service coordinator is responsible for providing information and referral, advocacy services as well as assistance to building management with issues that may affect a tenant's ability to age in place.

A Caregivers support group meets bi-weekly at Lemberg Nursing Home. The group deals with all aspects of care giving with the goals of helping the members cope with their responsibilities and decrease their stress.
A bereavement group for tenants of Shore Hill Housing is planned for this fall.
