Michael Gerling, M.D., is a board certified orthopedic and spine surgeon. He specializes in using minimally invasive techniques to treat degenerative and disk-related diseases of the spine, as well as other conditions. Dr. Gerling conducted his medical training at the University of California, San Diego. He did his internship and residency at Ochsner Health Systems in New Orleans and his fellowship at Case Western University, where he was trained by the well-known spine surgeon Henry Bohlman, M.D. He joined Lutheran Medical Center in April 2009. 	William Wirchansky, M.D., is a skilled neurosurgeon who joined Lutheran in October 2009. Dr. Wirchansky earned his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He did his internship and residency in the Department of Neurosurgery at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. As a neurosurgeon, Dr. Wirchansky treats such conditions as brain tumors, aneurysms and head and spine trauma, among others.
