Say Boo! to The Flu
Halloween isn't just about costumes and candy; it is also the time of year to get your family vaccinated against the flu. To prepare for this year's cold and flu season, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) expanded their flu vaccination recommendations to include all children from 6 months through 18 years old.
On October 3, the traveling nationwide Say Boo! to the Flu tour will stop in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The program is a national campaign to increase the numb er of families vaccinated against the flu and provide them with essential information on flu prevention.
The event will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. on 55th Street (Lutheran Lane) outside Lutheran Family Health Centers' Sunset Park site. Nurses will administer flu vaccinations to families and provide parents with important information.
